International Safety Culture Summit 2017
Location: St. Mary’s University CN Centre
Date: 8:30am, Oct 11 to 4:00pm, Oct 12, 2017
Event Details
Your Steering Committee is confirming that the Nova Scotia Health and Leadership Charter has finalized arrangements to collaborate with the St. Mary’s University CN Centre for Occupational Health and Safety to participate in this international world class event. The entire focus is on safety culture and there is a host of well-regarded international speakers. We are excited about this collaboration as it parallels the principles of the CEO Safety Charter.
The Senior Leaders of all Charter Signatories have made the commitment to attend (wherever possible) the Fall Conference. The Steering Committee strongly encourages every Senior Leader to attend this year, both to further our own objectives as well as to showcase the commitment of leading Nova Scotia organizations to a world class health and safety culture.
Now, some more detail:
Cost
Each Charter Signatory will be entitled to have one attendee by paying the annual commitment based on number of Nova Scotia employees (this ranges from $250 - $1,000) and details are noted on the registration link. This includes not only the full two day conference but also a reception on October 10 as well as the dinner on the evening of October 11.
Additional participants can attend at a cost of $450 plus HST each.
Badge Transferability
For Senior Leaders who are not able to attend both days, the registration badge will be transferable for the second day to another person in your organization.
Senior Leaders
Day one (October 11) has an agenda which appears most of interest to Senior Leaders. Accordingly we will have a separate lunch for our Annual Meeting on that day which will be for Senior Leaders only (we will have a separate meeting space for the conference).
Day Two
We will have a separate Workshop Session for our members only. We will be presenting a program showcasing success stories of Charter Signatories in advancing safety culture within their own organizations (more details to follow).
Registration
The link to register is: https://reg.agendamanagers.ca/Registrant/Register/3042486. It is important to use this link rather than the general conference link to ensure signatories are properly registered.
We do ask each and every Senior Leader to recognize the unique opportunity that this International Safety Culture Summit offers for their organization, for Nova Scotia, and for the principles of the Nova Scotia Health and Safety Leadership Charter.
