2019 Events

by admin November 14th, 2018

Following the Fall Conference Survey, the Steering Committee has unanimously decided that our focus for 2019 will be:

From Stigma to Strategy
Mental Health in the Workplace

Our three scheduled events will focus on what Senior Leaders can do to advance the mental health of their own organizations as well as the Communities in which we live and work. This will build upon the two prior excellent events featuring the Mental Health Commission of Canada.

Beyond Awareness
(February 28, 2019)
A Lunch & Learn with the presenters providing insight into what Programs and Tools are now available in Nova Scotia to help organizations tackle our most pressing workplace health issue. This will be presented at a Metro Halifax location of the Nova Scotia Community College with video conferencing available at other locations of the NSCC as required.

Impacts and Opportunities
(May 23, 2019)
A Lunch & Learn with the presenters enlarging the discussions on mental health wellness to recognize and act upon the critical importance that Businesses and Organizations can play in enhancing the communities in which Signatories work and live. Once again, this will be presented at a Metro Halifax location of the NSCC with video conferencing at other locations of the NSCC as required.

A Culture of Health
(October 16, 2019)
In 2018 our Fall Conference featured Safety Governance. This Fall Conference in Halifax will feature nationally renowned speakers on “Why and How” to create A Culture of Health in your organization and communities. There will be two complimentary Breakout Sessions building on the featured presentation.

These events are all specifically designed to engage Senior Leaders. Please Mark Your Calendars and participate in these 2019 events. Additional information and registration details will follow in the New Year.
